Nantwich recreates lifting of siege in Civil War

The historic town of Nantwich reverberated to the sound of battle yesterday (Saturday).

The Sealed Knot Society continued the longstanding tradition of commemorating the Civil War battle between Cromwell’s Parliamentarians and King Charles I’s Royalists and the lifting of the Roundhead siege in January 1644.
