Fernhurst boasts the ruins of a large civil war furnace that made cannonballs & barrels and the Fernhurst Furnace Society aims to promote the site to protect it and educate its importance in history. Rawdons & SK friends are on hand to demonstrate civil war army drills and arms and we have a nice little skirmish each day too in the arena! Other demonstrations are programmed to enjoy such as the Hawk man with his birds of prey.

Living History Camp

Drill Displays – Saturday and Sunday – 11.45am (about 1 hour maximum)

Skirmish Displays -Saturday and Sunday – 3.30pm (about 1 hour maximum)
