Once again the Sealed Knot Society returns to the home of the National Civil War Museum and brings you a thrilling weekend of battle, history, and family fun to mark 375 years since the first siege of the town in 1643!
Newark was one of King’s Charles most important bastions and withstood three Parliamentarian sieges during the English Civil War
With a ‘Living History’ camp and a spectacular battle each day on the site of the ‘Queen’s Sconce’ – one of the original fortifications built to defend Newark – this is something not to be missed. Children can take part in specially-organised pike drills as their parents discover a fascinating glimpse back into the period.
