Knaresborough Castle Aug 12th

What better way to celebrate the Glorious Twelth than to visit Knaresborough Castle to see aspects of daily life for civilians and soldiers, looking at, and touching, items from cookware to weaponry.

Attend a ‘Court Leet’ in the Tudor Courtroom, where offences relating to the estate will be heard by local gentry, handing out punishment or recompense as they see fit.

Witness a skirmish as the Royalist held castle once again comes under attack by the forces of Parliament!

This is a small event organised by Sir Thomas Glemham’s Regiment of Foote
