Bolton School (Heritage Lottery Funded event) 7th/8th July

Cannon will roar, pike will battle, and musketeers will fire as Parliamentarian and Royalist troops of the Sealed Knot society will descend on Bolton on 7th and 8th July for an exciting battle reenactment weekend!
Over the weekend, Bolton School will play host to a large ‘living history’ camp where you can meet characters from the past, from surgeon to preacher, herbalist to leatherworker, as well as the soldiers defending Bolton - all ready to show what life was like during the English Civil War, when brother fought brother and father fought son.
The event forms part of a special project, run by local Sealed Knot regiment The Earl of Manchester’s Regiment of Foote and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to teach local children about their town's part in the Civil War.
