Claydon Estate, Sealed Knot 50th Anniversary Event
This August, the Sealed Knot in its 50th Anniversary year, will bring the sights and sounds of the English Civil War to the magnificent Claydon Estate, the ancesteral home of the Verney family, who were intimately connected with the war and exemplified the divisions it caused.
On Sunday 26th and Monday 27th August this beautiful estate will echo to the sounds of musket and cannon fire, the steady beat of drums the charge of Cavalry and the clash of pikes.
Set against the back-drop of the Estates's beautiful gardens, courtyard and All Saints Church, a living history camp and displays will bring to life both military and civilian life in a period that shaped so much of how we live today.
Tickets are available on the day or can be booked in advance CLICK HERE. Entry includes the battle, displays and living history camp and access to Claydon Estate Gardens.
Claydon House is owned by the National Trust and there is an entry charge for non members.
