Support The Sealed Knot
The Sealed Knot is a registered charity( Number 263004 ) in order to achieve our charitable objectives, we need the support of individuals like you. There are many ways to support the Sealed Knot whether at home, at work or while you're shopping. Ultimately every contribution makes a difference.
There are several methods by which you could donate or covenant funds to the charity. If you are a UK tax-payer you could also benefit from Gift Aid. Your donation could be in the form of a one-off payment, a regular monthly donation or even a donation of shares. We can also assist you in starting local fund-raising appeals to then be spent on commemorating local 17th century events and places of interest. Please contact us for more information.
Give Your Time
Volunteer by taking part in or attending an event. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved locally and nationally. If you would like to join us in a performance then join us. If you would like to come along to watch us perform and talk to us, see our Events page to find out where we will be performing near you.
The generosity of kind supporters like you who leave a legacy to the Sealed Knot will help us achieve so much more than is currently possible.
There are two ways to give to the Sealed Knot in your will:
- Residuary gift: once you have provided for your loved ones you can choose to leave a share, or the whole, of what is left in your estate.
- Pecuniary gift: you can choose to give a gift of a fixed amount of money.
If you have already made a will, but would like to leave a gift to the Sealed Knot, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing will. This is called a codicil. By adding this supplement to your will you can include new instructions and delete old ones without having to go through the task of revoking the whole will.
If you have not already made a will
If you do not have a Will at the moment, you may need to see a solicitor. Although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive sound professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are achieved.
Whilst we commemorate the 17th century we live in the modern world. The internet has several ways of supporting the Sealed Knot. For example if you take five minutes to sign up to everyclick.com search engine and nominate the Sealed Knot as your charity of choice every time you use the search engine a small donation is made to the charity.
