DESCRIPTION:This Spring Bank Holiday\, the Sealed Knot will bring the sights and sounds of the English Civil Wars to Deene Park. The ancestral home of the Brudenell family was seized at the time by Parliamentary troops. \nWe’ll be creating the battle to seize Deene Park. This beautiful estate will echo to the sound of musket and cannon fire\, the steady beat of the drums\, the charge of cavalry and the clash of pike. Our Living History camp will bring to life both military and civilian life during the 17th century \nOpens 12.00 mid-day. \nThe battle starts at around 2.00pm. \nEntry (Sealed Knot Battle and Living History) \n£5 per person for over 16’s \nFREE for those aged 16 years and younger \nTickets available on the day or in advance (go to ‘event tickets’ on this website) \nAdjacent to the Sealed Knot event site is Deene House and Gardens. There is an additional entry charge to visit these. Deene Park Gardens and Tea Room open 12-5pm\, House opens at 2pm.
