Cropredy Bridge, Oxfordshire

August 25, 2024 - August 26, 2024

Put the date in your diary as this August Bank Holiday will see us mark the 380th anniversary of the Battle of Cropredy Bridge.

The Sealed Knot will be returning to the Banbury countryside for our summer bank holiday spectacular. An event that sees hundreds of reenactors take to the battlefield as we commemorate and explore the events of 1644 surrounding this historic English village.

There is a full day of activity to thrill and intrigue, with food traders, beer tent and living history all available to the public before, during and after the main event, which is the spectacle of the recreation of the Battle of Cropredy in 1644.

This encounter was the second major encounter of the English Civil Wars in this area and will feature Cannon, Musket, Calvary and Pike, staged by Europe’s largest re-enactment society, The Sealed Knot.

A truly immersive day out for all the family and not one to be missed!
