Marston Moor Parade

Sunday July 1st 2018 The annual Marston Moor March.
Sir Thoma Glemham’s Regiment invite you to, ‘’The annual Arthur Starkie Marston Moor March’’.
The original battle of Marston Moor took place on the 2nd of July 1644 and this is an anniversary event to remember the fallen on both sides.
The Parade will begin from outside the ‘’ Boot n Shoe’’ in Tockwith at 2.30 and march to the obelisk on the battlefield where a short service will be held, this will end with a volley of musket and cannon fire. We shall then march on to Long Marston and end the march at the Village Hall.
