The 1643 Siege of Crowland Abbey

Presenting a full weekend of spectacular Civil War re-enactments & Liveing History based on the events of 1643 at Crowland Abbey, by member os the Sealed Knot.

SATURDAY 17th Sept ACTIVITIES 

• 11.15am start at Trinity Bridge marching around Crowland Abbey
• Living History Camps, Displays and Skirmishing throughout the day.
• 7.15pm TORCH-LIT PARADE – Cromwell marches into Crowland with cavalry, artillery, musketeers and pikemen.
• 7.40pm an exciting NIGHT BATTLE with fireworks. (Please take extra safety measures with any pets with you).  

SUNDAY 18th Sept ACTIVITIES 

• 11.00am start with Holy Communion in Crowland Abbey with costumed re-enactors.
• 12.15pm, events start at Trinity Bridge and moves to Crowland Abbey for Living History Camps, Displays and Skirmishes.
• 4.30pm The event closes.

ADMISSION COST: 

£5 for the weekend (under 16s free). Wristbands available in the Abbey.
