Foxtendon Park, Chadderton, Gt Manchester

July 8, 2017 - July 9, 2017

As part of the summer fair at Foxdenton Park, you can step back in time to the 1640s when the area was on the front lines of the war between Parliamentarian and Royalist – and witness an actual battle with muskets, pikes, and drums organised by the Earl of Manchesters Regiment.

In the grounds of Foxdenton Hall, originally built in 1620, members of the Sealed Knot Society will give local people the chance to see what life was like during this tumultuos period of British history, from the food our ancestors ate to the weapons they carried and the crafts they made their livelihoods from. With a parade from Kingfisher School, this will be a brilliant day out for the whole family!
