Experience the thunder of cannon fire, musket volleys as The Sealed Knot help you relive history.
Bidford’s claim to civil war fame is its narrow bridge, a scheduled ancient monument that was built in the early 15th Century over the River Avon. In 1644, King Charles marched his army over the bridge towards Worcester as he retreated from his increasingly-threatened capital at Oxford, his supporters demolishing the bridge to cover the retreat.
