A visit to the spectacular Pembroke castle this summer gives you even more to discover as Lord Saye and Sele’s Blew Regiment Of Foote bring the exciting rebellion of 1648 and the siege of Pembroke to life. Explore daily life in the 17th century with the living history encampment, and displays of cooking, calligraphy, artwork, spinning and embroidery. Learn about the weapons used in the 17th century and how they were used with musket, pike and cannon displays.
Interactive drills for the young, where you too can become a Pikeman of the regiment and walk away with your own certificate to prove your worthiness.
Each day will end with a skirmish based on real life events in the siege of Pembroke in 1648 by Oliver Cromwell.
