Cromwell Museum, Huntingdon

A small number of Sealed Knot Members from Pickering’s Regiment will be helping to raise awareness that this year is the 375th Anniversary of the start of the English Civil War and the Mayor of Huntingdon will be opening the event.

‘its the September of 1642 and the Country looks like its on it way to war. In Huntingdon the local MP Oliver Cromwell begins to raise troops for Parliament’s Cause. Meet his soldiers as they try persuade you to join up, ask them why you should. Look out for the Royalist spy!’
